Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)Assist with the Mechanical Design of Vehicle On-board Controllers, Wayside/Central racks, and HW Tools setups.
Key Accountabilities:
Help with the mechanical design and prototyping of the test setups used for the qualification of hardware products.
Become familiar with and utilize the company process.
Assist the team with the release of engineering documentation.
Create, review, and verify mechanical hardware requirements.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of one year of experience in creating mechanical designs.
Currently pursuing a mechanical engineering degree.
Good written and oral communication skills and familiarity with a project work environment.
Knowledge of mechanical packaging components (cables, terminal blocks, connectors, fasteners, etc.).
Experience with mechanical CAD tools such as Creo, AutoCAD (preferred), and SolidEdge.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong ability to conceptually grasp the “big picture” and utilize critical thinking skills to resolve issues.
Attention to detail and curiosity about understanding the importance of activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Hitachi Rail GTS hardware products, processes, and tools
