The Boeing CompanyBoeing South Carolina (BSC) Fulfillment is seeking a Materials Management & Transportation Manager to lead a hands-on team that delivers parts, kits, tools and equipment to the BSC flightline. You will ensure readiness, schedule adherence, technical quality, and safety across materials operations that directly enable on-time aircraft delivery.
The role requires leadership, production‑synchronized material delivery experience (kitting, milk runs, kanban), and a focus on continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages and integrates employees activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and employees
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops and motivates employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing operations
3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
Willingness to work any shift assigned based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in or supporting flightline operations
Experience in tool and equipment management
Experience with safety and quality processes
Shift:
This position is variable shift, meaning you will be placed on a shift at time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation.
