Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Materials Management and Transportation Manager to join our IAS/AMS - Fulfillment team in Auburn, WA. This is a 2nd shift position. Mon-Friday 1 pm till 10:30 pm. Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.)

The successful candidate is self-motivated driven person who can manage and integrate employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation. Specifically in the delivery customer service role. You should be able to develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals. Acquire resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of team members and lead process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Our team is currently hiring a Level K Materials Management and Transportation Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages and integrates employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Possesses a mindset of safety and quality; influences the team to exhibit Boeing Values and Behaviors

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, Logistics Support, or Materials Management
  • 5+ years of experience managing or leading people or teams
  • 5+ years of experience with industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or an equivalent such as SAP (System Applications and Product) 
  • 5+ years of experience in materials management and/or supply chain management
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Office products
  • 5+ years of experience with ERP systems such as ERPLN and/or SAP
