GENERAL PURPOSE
At our Morganton, NC warehouse location, the Material Handler plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations by safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the facility.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Receive, store, and stage raw materials, components, and finished goods according to established procedures.
Pull, deliver, and track parts and materials to production areas in a timely and accurate manner to support manufacturing schedules.
Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and carts safely and in accordance with company policies.
Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning, labeling, and documentation processes.
Perform material transactions in the system to ensure accurate inventory control and traceability.
Assist with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and material audits as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following all safety and 5S guidelines.
Cross-train in other warehouse or production support functions to provide operational flexibility.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.

Education/Experience
One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency
Prior material handling or warehouse experience preferred.
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required.
Skills and Abilities
Assembly Skills and Abilities:
Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction) and attention to detail.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with production and logistics teams.
Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to a continually changing environment.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards.
Basic computer or scanner skills for inventory tracking preferred.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Ability to frequently lift and move up to 60 lbs.
