Location: Olink, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, Uppsala, Sweden (On site).

Project Overview 

Are you curious about how sample handling can influence biomarker measurements and eager to contribute to optimizing analytical methods? This thesis project explores the role of dilution in immunoassays and how varying dilution levels can affect precision, bias, and signal response. You will combine experimental work with data analysis and statistical modeling in a research-oriented environment. 

 

Objectives 

  • Data Analysis: Review historical QC data to identify patterns and correlations between samples and controls. 

  • Experimental Work: Test different dilution levels on selected assays and analyze effects on signal response, precision, and robustness. 

  • Statistical Modeling: Model response curves and evaluate linearity and assay performance. 

  • Validation: Compare results between samples and controls to draw practical conclusions.

  • Enjoy combining experimental work with statistical analysis and problem-solving. 

  • Currently pursuing a master’s degree in biotechnology, biomedicine, molecular biology, or a related field.
