The successful candidate:

Hours: 2 days a week 7:45am-4:15pm (days can be flexible)

Massage Therapist performs evaluation, screening, and provides direct patient care. A massage therapist provides soft tissue mobilization to patients, care giver, and stakeholders primarily for relaxation and comfort. Applies soft tissue mobilization for pain management as directed by a physical therapist or physician. Will conducts educational in service on benefits of Massage Therapy to patients, families, and stakeholders

A massage therapist is under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist and under the general supervision of the department head. Non-patient related duties includes but not limited to posting charges & housekeeping duties within the Rehabilitation Department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certificate of completion of at least 500 hrs of training of an accredited Massage Therapy School.

  • Licensed by the State of Illinois
