What you will do:
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for directing and overseeing all engineering functions related to manufacturing processes within the India Plant. This role entails developing engineering strategies, leading process improvements, and ensuring operational efficiency while adhering to safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production capabilities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
How you will do it:
Lead the engineering team to develop and implement manufacturing processes, systems, and technologies that enhance productivity and efficiency. Analyze current manufacturing processes and drive improvements through the application of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure that engineering solutions support production goals and customer requirements. Develop and manage budgets for engineering projects, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet operational objectives. Oversee the development and maintenance of engineering documentation, including specifications, work instructions, and quality standards. Drive the implementation of new technologies and equipment, ensuring that they align with overall business strategy and operational needs. Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering staff, promoting professional growth and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all engineering activities. Responsible for the application and promotion of industrial engineering, including but not limited to process design, layout, products work hour statistics and improvement.
What we look for:
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering roles, including 5 years in a leadership capacity. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, project management skills, and experience with lean practices are essential. Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills are required to collaborate with diverse teams and drive successful outcomes.
