What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II, Production Support - 2nd Shift to work out of our North Berwick, Maine campus. The Manufacturing Engineer II, Production Support - 2nd Shift will act as a manufacturing engineering resource for all business units. This individual will be the point of contact for all manufacturing engineering tasks stopping production and critical to bring to an immediate solution.
Attend the site wide tier meeting to see support required from the manufacturing engineering team during 2nd shift.
Use statistical analysis tools to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming products.
Collaborate with the inspection team when questions arise regarding manufacturing work instruction & blueprint requirements.
Responsible for manufacturing risk identification and mitigation to achieve superior quality performance; identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs.
Interact with the tool room and calibration when guidance is needed on critical production fixtures and gages.
Effectively communicate issues that occurred during 2nd shift to each respective business unit engineering team.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field and 2 or more years' experience in a manufacturing operations or similar industrial environment; OR a Master's degree and 1 or more years experience in a manufacturing operations or similar industrial environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Qualifications We Prefer:
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
CORE/Six Sigma Practitioner/professional certification
Understanding of continuous improvement concepts: DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc.
Demonstrated technical proficiency in complex manufacturing activities
Able to use Minitab and other statistical software
Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics
Effective verbal & written communication

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
