Holman is seeking a Manufacturing Assistant  to join our Upfitting team in Bartlett, IL

  • Shift:  7:30 AM- 4:00 PM Monday - Friday

What will you do?

  • Run weekly manufacturing reports and create custom reports as needed, using excel spreadsheets and access databases.
  • Reconcile and report discrepancies found in manufacturing orders, spread sheets, schedules, drawings and other documents, make corrections or open help desk tickets as needed.
  • Maintain fabrication stock inventory, order additional parts, materials, and supplies as needed to keep production running smoothly and on schedule.
  • Submit pick sheets to the warehouse for parts required for upcoming fabrication projects.
  • Prepare purchase orders for internal and external vendors to ensure required parts are on the floor for the manufacturing orders and MRP items.
  • Compile statistical, inventory or auditing reports for management meetings.
  • Possess knowledge of assembly process and understand material yield from industry standard material sizes to limit scrap materials.
  • Ensuring raw material and received parts are the correct quantities and arrive timely.
  • Create and maintain ordering templates and spread sheets pulled from the bill of materials.
  • Create and oversee manufacturing orders based on all facilities’ demands.
  • Responsible for creating and closing manufacturing orders in a timely manner.
  • Update and maintain schedule for manufacturing department.
  • Communicate part and raw material needs with vendors ordering of needed items for open and scheduled manufacturing orders and/or internal stock materials.
  • Communicate to the Manufacturing Supervisor on part ETA’s, issues, workflow, delayed jobs.
  • Maintain and update welding schedule for all manufacturing orders.
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of previous work experience in an office setting.
  • 5 plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with metal weldments and fabricated structures in a hands on or supportive role is strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience reading blueprints.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and have strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience with E Drawings, Solidworks, and Solid Works Product Data Management (PDM) preferred.
  • Experience with Spokane Computer's Financial Accounting Control System (FACS) V4.1 software is a Big Plus but not a necessity
  • Experience with paint and powder coat finishing of metal weldments is a plus.

Regular Full-Time

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $23.10 - $32.93 USD per hour.
