Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, culturally agile, and results-driven Managing Director Cluster North (Care Enablement) to head our operations across the Latin America North Cluster (Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Caricam). This leader will be responsible for driving regional growth, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and ensuring operational alignment with global objectives while adapting to the unique dynamics of each local market. The role includes direct leadership of the commercial and marketing teams across the cluster, as well as oversight of any additional functions required to support the business in the region.
This position will be based in Colombia, Ecuador, or Peru, determined by candidate location and business needs. Relocation assistance will be provided as necessary to facilitate a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute regional strategies that reflect the economic, and regulatory diversity of the North LATAM markets.
- Full accountability for P&L, budgeting, and resource allocation across all countries in the cluster.
- Lead business planning by shaping annual/long-term plans, forecasting KPIs, and building business cases with financial/resource estimates.
- Lead and oversee operations across multiple countries, ensuring business continuity, compliance, and profitability.
- Develop and implement a strategic relationship plan to prospect and grow key distributors and direct sales accounts across the region.
- Represent the company with key stakeholders, including government entities, industry associations, partners, and clients.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, trends, and strategic partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and corporate governance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, IT) to ensure operational alignment.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, innovation, and accountability across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field is mandatory.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in capital equipment within the Medical Devices industry, with additional experience in Pharma or Life Sciences considered a plus.
- P&L management experience with enterprise-level accountability.
- Proven executive leadership in commercial, marketing and business management roles, with strong track record in driving growth, leading high-performing teams, and building strategic partnerships across diverse markets. Regional experience is considered a plus.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-border teams and managing complex operations.
- Deep understanding of regional business environments, regulatory frameworks, and cultural nuances.
