Manager-Tech@Lilly Infrastructure 

Responsible for leading and maintaining the site’s IT infrastructure operations, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role oversees datacenter operations, manufacturing computers, storage and backup systems, networking, and local Citrix environments. The manager ensures all infrastructure services meet performance expectations, regulatory standards, and business continuity requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee datacenter and virtual server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and preventive maintenance.
  • Manage storage, backup, and disaster recovery systems to safeguard data integrity and system resilience.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of manufacturing computers, including procurement, qualification, patching, and decommissioning, in compliance with GxP and data integrity standards.
  • Provide local oversight of Citrix infrastructure and collaborate with global IT teams on maintenance and optimization.
  • Ensure network reliability and security across IT and OT environments, coordinating upgrades and troubleshooting activities.
  • Maintain compliance with cybersecurity policies, IT standards, and documentation requirements.
  • Manage IT vendors and service providers, ensuring delivery against SLAs and continuous improvement in infrastructure performance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of infrastructure professionals, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Support site and corporate initiatives related to digital transformation, modernization, and operational efficiency.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of IT infrastructure management experience, preferably in a regulated manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of datacenter operations, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), networking, storage, and endpoint management.
  • Familiarity with GxP, and data integrity compliance principles.
  • Experience managing vendors, IT projects, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Preferred certifications: ITIL, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or CompTIA Security+

  • Require occasional after-hours or weekend support for maintenance or critical incidents.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$90,000 - $132,000

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
