Become a functional manager for Northrop Grumman's IBCS OU department.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Track record as an effective collaborator, communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging the traditional ways of doing business.
- Drive agility and operational efficiency in Systems Engineering, Integration and Test processes and tools.
- Attract, develop, advise, assess, promote, and retain highly qualified engineering workforce.
- This position is a dual role encompassing both functional management and technical performance.
- This position is located in Huntsville, AL with travel to company and customer sites potentially required up to 10% of the time.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree and at least five years of technical experience in any combination of Systems Engineering, Integration and Test engineering disciplines accompanied by high proficiency in technical problem solving to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation, and monitoring.
- The candidate should have a technical performance role currently in place within the IBCS OU Engineering Department that can account for approximately 80% of their time.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills including team building and navigation, personal and career development, technical and inter-personal problem resolution, work planning and allocation.
- Current, active Secret Clearance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Systems Engineering, Integration and Test activities related to the development and delivery of US Army air defense command and control systems.
- Proven technical management experience preferably in either program IPT, R&D or Advanced Systems, technology, and/ or functional environments.
- Demonstrated behavior as a driver for change and continuous improvement.
- - Previous Functional Management or significant technical lead (IPT-level, large technical team) Experience
Primary Level Salary Range: $124,000.00 - $186,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
