What is the opportunity?
Located in the Channel Islands or London the Strategic Performance Manager is responsible for delivering key priorities related to the measurement and reporting of business performance. Delivering effective and consistent analysis and reporting at the Wealth Management Europe (WME) level and at line of business and product level. This role supports “telling the story” of Wealth Management to drive enhanced decision making.
RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
What will you do?
Delivers the collection and collation of relevant management information to ensure delivery and maintenance of a consistent set of strategic performance reports for each Product Group and for WME overall.
Develops presentation and information decks as required to support enhanced decision making.
Supports the annual WME strategy and business planning cycle as necessary (ensuring that required information and deliverables are collected, created, summarized and presented).
Delivers improvement of lagging / leading KPIs as required.
Supports the maintenance and on-going development of the WME Governance Framework.
Delivers and supports ad hoc analytics as required (client, product, competitive, etc.)
Looks within and outside RBC for best practices in driving ideas and execution of initiatives.
As required, leverages industry information to driver benchmarking of RBC competitors.
Ensures initiatives maintain the link we between business strategy and outcomes.
Drives a partnership focused style with product and functional teams.
Use creativity to solve stakeholder problems and generate value-add insight.
Acts as an ambassador for Strategic Performance, building strong relationships with stakeholders and teams.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Proven experience in Financial Services/related discipline.
Experience within Finance, Strategy and/or Operations.
Relationship Management/Business Development skills.
Curiosity and critical thinking applied to data interpretation and analysis.
Business writing skills including framing/story telling.
Competent Excel skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Nice-to-have
Full/part qualified in a professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/IMC etc.)
