The Strategic Operations Manager is a key partner to leadership, driving execution of Sphera’s most important strategic initiatives. This role combines program management rigor, analytical insight, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure that strategic priorities are delivered with excellence.

You will oversee high-impact projects, manage governance processes, and synthesize data to help senior leaders make informed decisions. You’ll act as both a program driver and strategic advisor — ensuring the “why” behind initiatives is always connected to the “how.”

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Portfolio Management

  • Lead the planning and execution of cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain a holistic portfolio view of programs and ensure alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Partner with executives and functional leaders to prioritize resources and define success metrics.

Governance & Operating Cadence

  • Manage leadership operating rhythms (QBRs, initiative reviews, steering committees).
  • Develop and maintain standardized program management frameworks and tools.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability through clear reporting and issue escalation.

Data & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain dashboards tracking progress, KPIs, and outcomes.
  • Synthesize data into insights and recommendations for leadership decisions.
  • Partner with Finance and Business Analytics to align reporting structures.

Communication & Change Management

  • Prepare executive-level presentations and communications for internal and board audiences.
  • Translate complex program information into concise, actionable narratives.
  • Support organizational change initiatives through structured communication planning.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in strategic operations, program management, consulting, or a similar strategic role.
  • Proven success managing large-scale cross-functional initiatives from planning to delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to move seamlessly between big-picture thinking and detail execution.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Skilled in Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, and program management tools (Asana, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and occasionally ambiguous environment.

Pay:

$132,000.00 - $198,000.00 + Eligible for Variable Compensation Plan
