Moderna is solidifying its presence within our international business services hub in Warsaw, Poland, a city renowned for its rich scientific and technological heritage. This hub provides critical functions, meeting the growing demand of Moderna’s global business operations. You will be part of Moderna’s Global Procurement team and serve as a key individual contributor supporting the Research and Development organization in Warsaw. This high-impact role will focus on end-to-end contract management, sourcing support, and vendor negotiations. The successful candidate will be at the heart of enabling Moderna’s science by ensuring timely and compliant external partnerships. You will engage cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and Procurement Category Managers, and contribute directly to enhancing our global clinical and research programs. This is a strategic role, rich with opportunity to bring structure, rigor, and efficiency to our vendor engagements while gaining close proximity to cutting-edge technology, including Generative AI tools.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Your key responsibilities will be:
Drafting vendor/consultant contracts for R&D, either initiated by Moderna or third parties
Ensuring proper use of templates and alignment with category strategies and Master Service Agreements
Negotiating contract terms and budgets using benchmarking, market intelligence, and strategic frameworks
Collaborating with Legal and Global Procurement Category Managers to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
Managing the end-to-end contract execution process in accordance with Moderna standards
Advising internal stakeholders on appropriate agreement types to meet operational needs
Your responsibilities will also include:
Tracking and archiving executed contracts within Moderna’s contract management system
Preparing and maintaining contract reports and dashboards to improve process efficiency
Reviewing metrics related to contracting cycles and optimizing turnaround time
Supporting ongoing development of processes, tools, and templates across the Procurement function
Participating in corporate initiatives and interacting across Procurement, Legal, Finance, and R&D
Managing high volumes of contract activity to meet critical project timelines

Working in an international business hub, you’ll be expected to leverage contract management systems and explore opportunities to bring automation and intelligent tools, including Generative AI, into daily sourcing and contracting operations to scale Moderna’s efficiency.
Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business or Legal discipline, or related field required, Paralegal degree or certification, preferred
5+ years in the pharmaceutical, life sciences or related industry, in contract negotiation/management
Experience with various contract types and service categories preferred
Sound understanding of drug development processes
Demonstrated understanding of project management principles as well as sound knowledge of contract terms and conditions, benchmarking and market analysis skills
Strong organizational and facilitation skills as well as great attention to detail
Ability to work independently and successfully in a matrix environment, and to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Outstanding communication skill and excellent English skills, both written and verbal
