Manages the responsibilities associated with the quality and outcomes performance for programs associated assigned area. In collaboration with the medical directors, program directors researchers, administrative leaders and other key stakeholders, sets the vision and establishes goals. They will provide leadership and coordination of the quality program across the continuum of care (service line or patient care units) This leader will partner to identify improvement initiatives, establish success metrics, monitors trends, outcomes and performance for the programs with in the service line. Supervises the staff and manages the contacts associated with the databases and consortiums the team participates in. They may be asked to represent and promote the service line at external organizations and consortiums where quality and outcomes are discussed.

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, health administration, business administration, clinical discipline or related field.
  • Completion of a Master's degree in public health, health administration, business administration, clinical discipline or related field is preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in healthcare improvement experience at the leadership level with direct reports.
  • A high level of analytical ability to organize, develop, and manage multidisciplinary healthcare processes.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, clinic/hospital staff and community.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of perinatal and neonatal patient population.
  • Experience or training in improvement methodologies such as the Improvement Model, Six Sigma or Lean is preferred. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Analytical skills to develop goals, facilitate the advancement of quality improvement concepts, to identify problems and solutions and present to committees/teams and individuals and to evaluate effectiveness of same and to interpret, comprehend, and summarize statistical and healthcare data.
