Reporting to the Director, FSQRA you’ll manage the day-to-day functions within Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory Affairs (FSQRA) Systems, Data and Culture group.  
 

You’ll lead the strategic and operational execution of third-party audit programs and FSQRA early career development associates’ initiatives across Conagra Brands’ manufacturing and network. As the FSQRA Manager, you’ll ensure compliance with Conagra Brands’ food safety and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement goals. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally, provide technical leadership, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation. 

 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Execute the strategic priorities cascaded by senior leadership.  

  • Be the expert resource for all assigned facilities to drive continuous food safety improvement initiatives. 

  • Oversees the early career development program, providing structured coaching, mentorship, and targeted training to enhance capabilities across FSQRA teams. 

  • Develop content and deliver training programs for assigned facilities.  

  • Encourage food safety culture best practices at the corporate and facility level.  

  • Collaborate and provide mentorship and coaching to QA teams in developing bench strength for key roles. 

  • Execute appropriate inspection criteria to determine degree of compliance.   

  • Familiar with the GFSI audit process including announced/unannounced audit schedules, recall notification process for audit scheme and certifying body, and appeals process.  

  • Gather and study audit outcomes to understand trends and issues, driving corrective and preventative actions. 

  • Provide technical and decision-making support and/or data analysis in managing situations and issues relative to quality and/or food safety. 

  • Knowledge of GFSI Benchmarked Schemes (namely SQF and BRC) along with product categories for requirements for GMP’s, Sanitation, Pest Control, Food Safety and HACCP systems, Training, Allergens, and applicable programs/regulations.  

  • Design and implement processes and procedures within assigned technical area(s) of responsibility. 

  • Collaborate outside of FSQA organization to drive efficiency and effectiveness with regards to food safety and quality as necessary.  

 

Position Qualifications 

  • BS in Food, Biological or Chemical Science or related field. 

  • Minimum 7 years of food industry experience in QA, Operations or equivalent function required. 

  • Previous experience developing and leading teams. 

  • Leadership and experience auditing complex manufacturing sites. 

  • Leadership in development of auditing tools. 

  • High level experience of in food safety and quality regulations and standards (GMP, GFSI [SQF, BRC, other benchmarked scheme], HACCP, SSOP), government regulatory requirements, food safety, food manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant area of responsibility. 

  • Develop and use continuous improvement tools and fundamentals. 

  • Technical report writing experience. 

  • Experience explaining technical requirements to a non-technical audience 

  • Troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigative skills. 

  • Experience with financial budgets and principles. 

  • In office: 4 days per week, Monday - Thursday

  • Depending on the needs of the business, operational impact at the plant level will require 25% to 50% travel.

Compensation: 

Pay Range:$107,000-$156,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
