Northrop Grumman is looking for a Manager Public Relations 2 to support communications strategy development and implementation in divisions within Aeronautics systems, Global Surveillance programs division. You will guide and implement strategic communications plans to support business objectives in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You will assist the team to create, deploy, measure and optimize communications across paid, owned and earned channels. This position is based at Northrop Grumman’s facilities in Melbourne, Florida.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Lead a team in support of external and internal communications, shape the Northrop Grumman story and deliver it to the right audiences, in the right way, at the right time to support key business objectives and the brand
  • Partner with Global Surveillance Communications director to drive effective workflow management, forecasting project resource needs, assigning projects among the team, and tracking projects through to completion.
  • Work closely with Corporate and Sector Communications directors to contribute to (or devise) and manage the implementation of key communication strategies and tactics.
  • In coordination with the Communications director, develop domestic and international communications strategy to promote program and enterprise objectives; identify opportunities, make recommendations and oversee tactical execution to meet objectives; partner with customer counterparts to drive consensus in planning and execution.

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, and/or marketing or master’s degree and 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, and/or marketing.
  • Experience collaborating and leading across matrixed teams to execute communications campaigns or projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience as a program communicator, developing and deploying external-facing strategic communications campaigns and measuring business impact.
  • Comfort with data; ability to shape and tell a persuasive story from disparate data sources.
  • Strong presentation skills and comfort with presenting to audiences at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Experience working in a national security environment and restricted programs.
  • This position requires an Active DoD Secret Clearance, with an investigation completed within the last 5 years, as well as ability to obtain a Program Special access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in a large, matrixed and/or geographically dispersed organization 
  • Experience developing productive relationships with executives
  • Demonstrated judgement in decision making and leadership actions with capabilities to drive change through creative and/or other disruptive methods, ideas & approaches 
  • Have a deep understanding of programs and capabilities within the aeronautics portfolio and A&D experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
