Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for a Program Manager 1 to support the Advanced RF Sensors (ARFS) Operating Unit onsite in Linthicum, MD. The department has responsibility for growing the sector portfolio of technology and programs in emerging systems focused on advanced radar and Electronic Warfare (EW) technologies. Focus areas include emerging technology, disruptive innovation, rapid prototyping, and transitioning of discriminating technology to sector operating divisions.
What You'll Get to Do:
Serve in a deputy Program Manager role on one or more contractual research and development (CRAD) programs and/or strategic internal R&D (IRAD) projects.
Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program(s), as well as interfacing with internal and external customers, vendors, and company support organizations.
Support delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements.
Identify, allocate, and manage program resources, including workforce planning.
Prepare charts and briefings on status/progress and processes; delivering presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders.
Conduct thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization.
Work closely with Business Management, GSC, Security, Ops, Mission Assurance, Business Development, IT, and E&S to drive program success.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years or a Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience supporting Government contracts and Customers and/or project management in other industries.
Experience in project management, leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as the project or technical lead.
Demonstrated experience leading projects, workstreams, or cross-functional efforts to completion.
Experience with earned value management and capture management.
Experience supporting DOD/DOW programs.
US Citizenship.
Current/Active Secret Security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a SAP after starting.
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years experience including as project manager and/or technical leadership positions.
Strong technical background in the research, development and operation of military sensor systems.
Experience with MS Project.
Experience with geographically diverse program teams.
Active SAP clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $124,000.00 - $186,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
