Role summary:
The Manager, Process Improvement leads initiatives to enhance key business functions by analyzing performance data, identifying gaps, and developing sustainable solutions. This role partners with cross-functional teams to align strategies, simplify processes, and drive transformational change. The manager oversees global projects, ensuring compliance with company policies while fostering continuous improvement and accountability. By mentoring associates and collaborating with stakeholders, this position supports long-term operational excellence and business goals, promoting a culture of integrity, adaptability, and measurable results across the organization.
  About the team:
The Electrical and Lighting Parts Team focuses on optimizing supplier performance, managing bid events, and overseeing catalog and warehouse inventory. The team collaborates across functions to deliver data-driven, solution-oriented recommendations that enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Leadership provides clear direction to senior analysts while fostering continuous process improvements and effective change management. By leveraging project management and stakeholder engagement, the team drives sustainable business outcomes and supports long-term strategic goals within the organization.
What you'll do:
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to drive business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Analyze data to assess current performance, identify gaps, and recommend sustainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on improvement strategies and communicate changes to stakeholders.
  • Lead change management projects, ensuring readiness, managing expectations, and supporting adoption of new processes.
  • Monitor program performance against metrics, addressing post-implementation issues and refining solutions.
  • Provide guidance on policies and procedures to ensure compliance and effective controls.
  • Mentor associates, fostering development and accountability within the team.
  • Manages initiatives and processes for MRO parts supply chain management to ensure effective and timely maintenance of assets that Facility Services supports including ensuring parts supplier compliance with new or existing systems, supplier contracts, and service level agreements; implement strategies for warehouse and van inventory stocking; utilizing the right technology and processes to optimize Walmart preferred suppliers, at Walmart negotiated pricing, consuming Walmart specified items; execute technology and support enhancements to increase technician repair time efficiency and asset uptime; facilitate supplier sourcing events with Walmart Global Procurement partners  
  • Supports cross-functional teams engaged in Facility Services Initiatives and special projects by utilizing parts and materials usage data to inform asset condition, total cost of ownership, forecast spend and frequency of use, predict parts needed for specific scopes of work; OEM conversion and SKU consolidation; leverage data to drive down cost, improve operational effectiveness, and technician efficiency
  • Manages parts escalations from field-based technicians, including sourcing, supplier updates, and order entry. Proactively works aging purchase orders and back orders for timely and accurate updates using Walmart purchase order systems and work order management systems
  • Supplier Relationship Management, including regularly scheduled scorecard discussions, onboarding and offboarding suppliers, improving supplier performance and support; supplier catalog management to eliminate non-specified items, review for preferred pricing from in-stock suppliers, ensure catalog richness including pictures and attributes, and building associates for like-for-like products
  • Manage a high performing team, including category manager SME’s and analysts, ensuring the team is providing excellence in service, strong product knowledge, and is effectively achieving department and team goals

  • Proven experience leading process improvement initiatives using data analysis and evaluation to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Expertise in change management with the ability to lead transformational projects and ensure sustainable adoption.
  • Strong cross-functional team leadership and stakeholder management skills to align and influence partnering teams.
  • Proficiency in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of improvement programs.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology and best practices to drive operational excellence.
  • Ability to mentor and develop associates, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
