Manager - Oracle EPM Support

We are looking for an experienced Oracle EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) Functional SME to join our Corporate Finance Technology (CFT) team. This role is responsible for providing first-line functional support for Oracle EPM Finance application, managing stakeholder expectations, and supervising a team of support analysts. This role will be pivotal in maintaining the FPnA (Financial Planning and Analysis) ecosystem leveraging Oracle Cloud EPM applications including PBCS, PCMCS, and EDMCS. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in financial planning systems, metadata management, and cost allocation models, with a strong understanding of enterprise integrations and data flows.

As a SME in Oracle EPM Functional Support, your responsibilities will include:

Functional Support & Issue Resolution

  • Provide expert-level support across Oracle EPM Cloud (PBCS, PCMCS, EDMCS).
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across FPnA process in EPM.
  • Analyse and resolve ServiceNow tickets, adhering to SLAs.
  • Address functional issues through configuration changes and educating users on tool capabilities.
  • Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving day-to-day IT issues.
  • Support version upgrades and lead service reviews with vendor.

Integration Support & Issue Resolution

  • Drive the best use of our strategic technology with our stakeholders in conjunction with the CFT Portfolio Leads and CFT Platforms lead.
  • Provide technical expertise and take ownership of all the associated data integration and reference data solutions, including those between Oracle EPM components and with other Financial Systems.
  • Proactively look for opportunities to make enhancements and improvements to current CFT integration and reference data systems and processes.

Business Engagement and Change Process

  • Support the end user training sessions on Oracle EPM new processes and functions.
  • Promote awareness of audit and compliance principles in daily operations of the team.
  • Evaluate new requirements by coordinating with business stakeholders and manage and co-ordinate the implementation lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management

  • Assist business users regarding Oracle EPM-related queries and issues.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations, and provide timely updates on issue resolution.
  • Participate in change management discussions and impact assessments for new business requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification

Required Years of Experience

  • 8 to 10 years with minimum 6 years of relevant experience.

Required Technical Skills

  • Expertise in Oracle EPM: In-depth understanding of Oracle EPM Cloud (PBCS, PCMCS, EDMCS) implementations. Strong hands-on experience with  cube design, data integration, and metadata management.
  • FPnA Experience: Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in FPnA application support, maintenance, or implementation.
  • Deep understanding of financial planning and forecasting processes, especially in Expense and Revenue domains.
  • In depth understanding of IT solutions, technology and architecture.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the IT environment.
  • Familiarity with scripting and code technologies to assist with support and management of applications, environments and developer requirements:
    • Experience or understanding of cloud computing e.g. MS Azure
    • Extensive experience of FDM / FDMEE and Cloud Data Management

Supporting Skills

  • Shell Scripting:
    • Knowledge of scripting in Powershell, Python, Windows Batch VBScript and VBA
    • Code control and deployment using DevOps
  • Domain Exposure: Background in captive organizations within the banking, insurance, or financial services sectors.
  • Innovation & Technology: Exposure to AI enablement within Oracle EPM modules.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree: In any discipline, preferably in Finance or IT.
  • Postgraduate Qualification: Master’s degree in Finance or equivalent certifications.
  • Professional Certifications:
    • Oracle certifications in EPM.
    • Additional credentials such as CBAP, PMP, or certifications in Business Transformation or Finance Functional domains are a plus.
