Our Interiors Final Assembly Line (FAL) Support Team serves as the first point of contact for technical challenges related to Collins Aerospace interior products installed at FAL. This team provides direct, onsite support for a wide range of interior components, including Seating, Galleys, CAS, Lavatories, GAINS, Oxygen Systems, Cargo Loading, and Lighting, with a primary focus on seating. The support starts with receiving the product and continues through installation, various Airbus (and other OEM) and Airline inspections, until delivery of the aircraft.

The scope of this role is dynamic and time-sensitive, ranging from resolving production, quality, and design issues to addressing customer inquiries and complaints. The team collaborates closely with cross-functional global teams across the Philippines, UK, Ireland, US, and Germany, as well as corporate functions such as Finance, HR, Global Trade, EHS, and Legal. They also work with Interiors production sites (primarily aircraft seating), key Airbus (and other OEM) stakeholders—including Heads of Production and Purchasing Managers—airline customers, subcontractors, and third-party service providers.

Building on an established foundation, the successful candidate will:

  • Foster strong customer relationships, championing excellence in service and support.
  • Advocate for the FAL team, addressing challenges and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Promote development, training, and product familiarization to enhance team capabilities.
  • Align with Collins Interiors' Customer First approach and CORE operating principles (Customer-Oriented Results and Excellence).

This role is an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader to drive world-class support and ensure seamless operations within Airbus’ Final Assembly Line. This is an onsite role in Mobile, AL and may have up to 15% travel to support Little Rock, AR, Mirabel/Montreal Canada and other potential locations in the future. This role is eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do

Team and Site Management

  • Lead, develop, and manage the on-site teams consisting of direct Collins employees and contractors in Mobile, AL, Little Rock, AR, Mirabel/Montreal Canada to ensure efficiency, accountability, and high performance. There is potential for oversite of additional site locations in the future.
  • Structure and oversee site operations to meet Airbus’ (and other OEMs) expectations for responsiveness, reliability, and quality.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational challenges, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Oversee daily activities, enforce compliance with internal policies and industry standards, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain a high-performance culture aligned with Collins and RTX leadership behaviors.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary interface between the site team and Boeing leadership, ensuring proactive communication and alignment on priorities.
  • Foster strong relationships with Airbus (and other OEM) and airline customers to enhance support and position the company as a trusted partner.
  • Analyze customer data to anticipate needs, adjust site operations accordingly, and address emerging issues swiftly.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and drive improvements to customer satisfaction metrics.

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Develop and execute site strategies to improve service delivery, optimize processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and effective coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee subcontractor activities, validate hours and invoices, and ensure alignment with performance expectations.
  • Drive performance improvements through data analysis, monthly reporting, and action plans.

Contract & Financial Oversight

  • Review Airbus (and other OEM) requests for additional work scope, draft agreements, negotiating terms, and track performance.
  • Administer contracts and warranty fulfillment, including invoice processing and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure financial accountability by monitoring site budgets, tracking performance metrics, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Proven experience in aerospace operations, preferably with aircraft interior/cabin products Final Assembly Line (FAL)
  • Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations related to production and maintenance of the aircraft components
  • Leadership Experience with a focus on execution and responsiveness.
  • Extensive experience in customer engagement, contract negotiation, and stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with accounting or financial oversight, including cost management and budgetary controls.
  • CORE Champion or similar LEAN certification (Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
