Trimble’s Owner and Public Sector (O&PS) Deal Team is seeking a Proposal Team Manager to join our proposal team specifically supporting our Asset Lifecycle Management suite of Products (i.e Trimble Unity). In this role, you will manage the O&PS Proposal Team, which supports the full proposal lifecycle for O&PS Sector’s various sized proposals and partner-led proposals, ensuring professional, timely, and high-quality submissions. This position is expected to lead strategic proposals as well. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate across multiple departments while following a well-established proposal process. The evaluation may require submission of example proposals and/or writing samples. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach and inspire the proposal management team as they provide outstanding customer service to internal customers by coordinating content from multiple internal and external sources that results in excellent, high-quality RFx responses and proposals.

  • Be the process owner for the proposal management system (Trello) and proposal response system (Loopio); maintain and update proposal content repositories in Loopio, including functionality matrices, to streamline future responses.

  • Ensure all RFx responses are delivered by the client/customer due date with high quality

  • Ensure proposal team members and sector stakeholders contributing the RFx response are following the published proposal management process.

  • Execute established proposal workflows, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer requirements.; identify opportunities for process improvement within the proposal management system; work with various Trimble approved AI tools to make existing processes more efficient.

  • Prepare periodic reports of RFP statistics and metrics for sector leadership that include (shortlist rate, revenue associated, products associated, etc.)

  • Distribute RFx workload appropriately across the team ensuring balance, experience development, and utilization of team's skills and abilities.

  • Provides experienced guidance to team members to help solve problems and ensure proposals are compelling and competitive.

  • Manage strategic RFx responses on an individual contributor basis.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks both before starting response effort and during proposal development; Review and refine proposal documents (e.g., resumes, project descriptions, and boilerplate content) in coordination with subject matter experts to ensure alignment with company branding and messaging standards.

  • Manage the end-to-end proposal process, ensuring all deadlines are met.

  • Collaborate with internal teams—including, but not limited to, sales managers, solution engineers, legal, and product teams—to research, write, edit, format, and quality-check Trimble Asset Lifecycle Management proposals and RFx responses.

  • Track proposal outcomes in Trello, including win ratios and key performance metrics, to assess the effectiveness of competitive responses.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10 years of experience in Proposal Creation and Management.

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years management experience.

  • Highly skilled in using Microsoft Word, and proficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Formal training and/or certification in industry standard proposal management practices (APMP, Shipley, etc.)

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.

  • Ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to create visually appealing and persuasive proposal documents.

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively, and provide constructive feedback to enhance proposal quality.

  • Experience working under tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • APMP Certification or similar.

  • Experience with Proposal Management Software (Loopio, RFPio, or similar).

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in government or public sector organizations

  • Experience working in the software and SaaS industry

  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM platforms

  • Experience working with A. tools (i.e. ChatGPT, Google Gemini)

  • Experience with Trello or similar workflow management software

Compensation:  Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.

$122,500.00–$168,400.00
