Northrop Grumman is seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Manager 3 to join our Corporate Environment, Health and Safety team. The selected applicant will be responsible for successfully developing, implementing and managing our onsite clinic operations in accordance with government and company requirements.
This position is located at one of the following Northrop Grumman manufacturing locations that has an occupational health clinic: El Segundo, Palmdale or Sunnyvale, CA; Baltimore or Elkton, MD; Corinne or Magna, UT; Melbourne, FL. This role required to be onsite and is not a remote position.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
Develop and enforce standardized policies, procedures and documentation for clinics located across multiple state jurisdictions, including the standardization of site recordkeeping.
Review existing clinics’ operational structure and functions, make recommendations for immediate appropriate revisions and develop future strategy.
Review existing clinics’ organizational reporting structure and make recommendations for appropriate alignments.
Analyze federal, state and local occupational health laws and regulations for applicability to company clinic operations and execute required compliance actions.
Conduct compliance assurance audits.
Oversee regulatory compliance and financial forecasting.
Review all interactions and correspondences from regulatory government and state agencies for onsite clinics and work with clinical/legal personnel to provide appropriate responses.
Collaborate with clinical staff members to ensure alignment and share best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s (BS) degree in nursing, occupational health and safety, or a related discipline, and a minimum of 10 years of experience with occupational health clinics; or a Master of Science (MS) in the same disciplines with 8 years of experience with occupational health clinics.
Extensive experience in reviewing and analyzing federal, state and local occupational health regulations and developing appropriate compliance strategies.
Experience in conducting occupational health regulatory compliance assurance assessments.
Experience with managing/overseeing third party consultants/contractors.
Experience working in an occupational health clinic.
Excellent communication skills and collaboration with all levels of an organization are a must.
Ability to travel to various locations in the United States.
