Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager Level 3 to join our team in Chandler, AZ.     

This matrix position reports to the Director of Mission Assurance as well as the Program Manager.

This position will be responsible for establishing, implementing and administering an effective Mission Assurance program in compliance with applicable customer contracts and other guidelines set forth by Launch Systems requirements.

This effort includes:

  • participation in system level design development, manufacturing, and testing activities

  • discrepancy review and approval

  • failure investigations

  • cause and corrective action determinations

  • contract reviews

  • procurement review and approval

  • internal and external reporting

  • participation as a member of the Corrective Action Board, Configuration Control Board

  • support the program at Flight Review Boards

  • Cost Account Management

  • direct interaction with Government and customer representatives is required

Your Role and Impact:

The position requires additional support related to program proposal efforts, tracking and reporting metrics, mission specific risk issues and develop and present internal and external Mission Assurance briefings.

  • This position requires experience and command of the Earned Value Management System and the management of multiple cost accounts.

  • Team areas of responsibility include vehicle quality configurations management, program environmental health and safety requirements, program non-conformance reporting, program metrics, corrective action management and hardware acceptance and pedigree reviews. 

  • Planning work tasks, identifying and securing personnel and equipment resources, personnel management, cost account management, communication status, issues and resolutions plans to program and functional management and providing technical leadership to the team.

  • Candidate must possess demonstrated management and leadership skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills. Must have the ability and desire to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with staff, customer and government personnel, program management, engineering and subcontractors. Excellent written and oral communications skills a must.

  • Other duties as assigned

  

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience including people management experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience including people management experience.  

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance

  • Ability to travel approximately 10%

 Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Minimum of 15 years directly related experience with Bachelor’s degree or 13 years with Masters degree

  • Active DoD Security clearance of Secret of above

  • Experience leading or managing people

Primary Level Salary Range: $146,500.00 - $220,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
