As the Manager, Mass Markets Analytics, you will lead the development and delivery of analytics that drive profitable growth and inform our strategies on retail marketing, commodity pricing, and product development. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, customer strategy, and financial performance, translating data into actionable insights that directly impact the retail P&L. You’ll partner with Marketing, Finance, Customer Strategy & Go-To-Market teams to deepen understanding of customer behavior, optimize acquisition and retention activities, and measure the impact of campaigns and programs.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Own the analytics roadmap in support of the retail P&L – identifying key drivers of customer growth, retention, and profitability.

  • Develop customer segmentation and lifetime value (LTV) frameworks to guide targeted marketing and pricing strategies.

  • Design and execute campaign measurement methodologies, providing actionable insights to improve marketing ROI.

  • Lead customer trend and portfolio performance analysis, highlighting merging risks and opportunities.

  • Oversee campaign list management and audience targeting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with compliance and business rules.

  • Partner with digital and marketing automation teams to measure and optimize performance across digital journeys, email campaigns, and paid media.

  • Develop dashboards and visualizations (PowerBI) to make complex insights accessible to business stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Finance and Risk teams to align customer analytics with financial reporting and forecasting.

  • Coach and develop a team of specialists, building analytical capability and a culture of curiosity and data-driven decision making.

Education Required: 

  • Degree in business, finance, or other related area

  • MBA and/or financial designation (i.e., CPA) would be considered an asset

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in customer or marketing analytics, ideally within retail energy, telecommunications, financial services, or other subscription-based industries.

  • Strong understanding of retail P&L levers, customer lifecycle economics, and campaign performance metrics.

  • Experience working with marketing automation or CRM tools.

  • Understanding of the mass market customer behavior and trends

  • Experience with data modeling, statistical analysis, and experimentation (A/B testing).

  • Proven experience leading teams towards strategic objectives.

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) workforce with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
