Under the direction of the Director, IT Infrastructure & Support, the manager leads a team of IT professionals to deliver reliable, secure, and innovative technology solutions across the Holland Hospital organization. This role ensures operational excellence in infrastructure, networking, IT security, and end-user support while aligning IT services with business goals. The manager fosters a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and customer service, and plays a key role in shaping the organization’s technology roadmap.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field or relevant work experience required.
  • Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • 5+ Years IT experience in networking, telecommunications, and operating systems.
  • Previous relevant work experience required.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles.

Management

  • Manages staff from different Information Technology related disciplines, including infrastructure, networking, IT security and end-user support.
  • Plans, monitors, and appraises job results.
  • Coaches, counsels, and disciplines staff.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Fosters a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Identifies and develops growth opportunities for staff.
  • Assists in budget development and ensures cost efficiency.

Technology Support

  • Maintains organizational effectiveness by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing technologies.
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices and user projects.
  • Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversees infrastructure operations including servers, storage, cloud services, and network architecture.
  • Oversees IT security, working to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security control structures.
  • Ensures quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Verifies results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with project managers and end user departments.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensures significant vendor issues are escalated with vendors as well as on-site and on-call management and staff.
  • Evaluates trends, identifies problems and develops solutions to Information Technology related issues.
  • Troubleshoots complex hardware and software issues.
  • Serves as an escalation point for critical incidents and ensures root cause analysis and resolution.

Professional Development

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending professional workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  • Analyzes how technologies are being used in healthcare to understand best practice.
  • Develops personal networks by participating in professional societies.
  • Builds meaningful relationships with organization leadership.
