The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic internal communication plans that align with organizational goals and strengthen internal alignment and culture. This role partners closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Executive Management Group (EMG), Human Resources, Line of Business leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, clear, and effective messaging across the organization. The manager also works in close collaboration with the External Communications Manager and Marketing team to ensure consistent voice, brand alignment, and coordinated messaging across internal and external channels. This role supports change management, employee engagement, internal community engagement programming, and enterprise-wide initiatives through thoughtful, audience-centered communication strategies.Essential Responsibilities:

SUCCESS PROFILE
Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal or corporate communications. Supervisory experience preferred. Experience in health-related field preferred, with a preference towards insurance.
Education, Certificates, Licenses: Bachelor’s degree required. Candidates with an Associate’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma and 4 years of relevant experience, in addition to the required minimum years of Work Experience will also be considered. Preferred area of focus: Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing or a related field.
Knowledge: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to craft clear, engaging messaging tailored to internal audiences. Proficient in using intranet platforms and digital communication channels to drive effective communication across the organization. Strong project management and organizational abilities, along with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Demonstrated success in developing and executing internal communication strategies, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Strategic thinking and a data-informed approach help shape impactful messaging and drive continuous improvement. Analytical capabilities play a key role in evaluating communication effectiveness and refining tactics to better support organizational goals.

Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 10% of the time.
