The Role

The Manager, Integration Platforms & Data Management leads the teams that operate enterprise integration platforms and managed file transfer services, ensuring secure, reliable data movement within the organization and with external partners. Owns standards, processes, and tooling that maximize platform availability, performance, and compliance, while partnering closely with Security, Infrastructure, and application teams to scope, deliver, and support integrations from an IT generalist perspective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of integration platform engineers and a separate team of data management analysts; conduct regular 1:1s and team ceremonies; foster engagement and growth. 
  • Own integration and file-transfer platform roadmaps; evaluate platforms; platform migrations/consolidation for savings, standardization, and resiliency.   
  • Define and enforce operational standards, monitoring, libraries, and documentation to ensure uptime, efficiency, and optimal utilization. 
  • Partner with project teams, clinical/users, SMEs, and vendors to translate requirements into well-scoped, engineered, and tested solutions. 
  • Operate secure managed file transfer services and connectivity (internal and external); ensure adherence to security best practices and data protection in transit. 
  • Provide advanced technical support to team; remove roadblocks and communicate status, risks, and escalations effectively. 
  • Execute and continuously improve change, incident, and problem management for interfaces/platforms in line with policy.   
  • Confronts challenges directly and contributes constructively to high-stakes conversations; takes decisive, bold action even when it’s unpopular

Skills and Experience

  • Healthcare interoperability & interface engine expertise (HL7, X12, FHIR); clinical informatics awareness
  • Secure file transfer protocols and data-exchange (FTP/S, SFTP, FTPS, WebDAV, HTTP/S, SMB/NFS); strong project leadership and communication skills

Minimum Years of Experience

  • Bachelors in Health Sciences/Engineering/CS/IS—or equivalent experience; 5+ years in data/integration platform management. 

Additional details

  • General office/remote environment; periods of high demand and interruptions; limited travel (~10%); occasional travel to off-site locations.
