Manager I - Drone Operations

Remote/Traveling (For Corporate Use Only) Full time

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Serves as the designated authority for UAS operations within Blattner.
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS) operations at Blattner.
  • Ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, safety, and continuous improvement across all UAS missions.
  • Company-wide resource for all things UAS related to including future advancements, CapEx budgeting, regulatory and compliance changes, UAS subject matter expert (SME), and a liaison between our organization and Quanta on the matter.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Equipment Services Management, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field required; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 
  • 5 or more years of certified UAS pilot experience, ideally within the construction industry. Proven ability to manage flight planning, scheduling, compliance, and execution of missions. Hands-on experience with UAS/UAV technology, aerial surveying techniques, and data analysis.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time.
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

  • Experience as a Chief UAS Pilot or in a similar leadership role. 
  • Knowledge of utility infrastructure inspection, LiDAR, thermography, or rope pull operations. 
  • Very strong collaboration skills. Able to work and lead cross functionally as part of a matrix team.

$98,589.00 - $142,955.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
