1. Collaborate effectively with Associate Director Direct Procurement Nansha in sourcing, development of Key Sourcing Partners network in different geographies, market research and data mining:
Perform sourcing, market research and data mining for materials of allocated customer proposals and early phase projects.Support development of presentations to address business and procurement lines expectations on raw materials opportunities and challenges.Support in data entry and analysis for reports and key deliverables.
2. Understand the scope and priorities of allocated customer proposals and early phase projects.Collaborates with program owners to identify the Strategic Sourcing milestones, timelines and task owners.
Develops strategies to drive further supplier integration both into active programs and for specific technical challenges. Directly engage on specific program sourcing milestones, in conjunction with category owners, to ensure business continuity and that procurement meets the business, customer needs.
3. Directly responsible for providing prices of minimum two sources of Key Starting Materials from different geographies and initial sourcing strategies for customer proposals and early stage projects: Right First Time.Support the implementation of standardized templates, files to drive customer proposals and early phase projects with the right granularity, transparency, visibility, clarify sourcing milestones and communicate effectively with the procurement line.
4. Support innovative model of fast-track evaluation in the frame of customer proposals in identifying suitable manufacturers, partners.Manage relationship with suppliers, Key Sourcing Partners in liaison with the delegated customer proposals and early phase projects as agreed with the line.
5. Drive savings initiatives: develop pipeline of initiatives and realize savings with delegated spend suppliers or products.Track site(s) savings performance and identify potential savings, risks & opportunities.
Support standardization of specifications across sites and regions. Optimize supplier payment terms. Share best-practice sharing and synergies across sites.
6. Processes, tools and Systems: Ensure compliance with Lonza standards and regulatory requirements, Support roll-out of Lonza procedures, policies and guidelines.
7. Identify and engage with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Quality (QA & QC), Business (TS, CD, Sales, SC, PM, R&D...) as required for the allocated customer proposals and early phase projects.
8. Clarify stakeholder & customer requirements and help the line to drive proactive communications and include in program governance.
9. Share knowledge and best practices
10, Support global ADS procurement team in sustainability and decarbonization program related to China suppliers to meet global KPI target.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree minimum; Master, MBA preferred
Preferred area of study: Engineering, Chemistry,
Fluent EN both in written and oral is a must.
Seven or more years of operations experience with 4-5 years in Procurement/Strategic Sourcing.
Strong communication skill and work under pressure
Experience in a regulated industry ( pharmaceutical, food) preferred.
Demonstrated experience in category management and Procurement.
Business and financial acumen and Procurement expertise
Skills in all procurement processes including commodity management, supplier management, negotiations, contract management and e-procurement systems.
Research, analysis, summary recommendation skills.
Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
Experience managing global relationships both internal and external.
