Manager, Business & Market Development
Overview
We are looking for a Manager – Transfer Solutions to support product Commercialization and go-to-market execution for Mastercard’s Transfer Solutions (Cross Border Services and Mastercard Send) business.
Mastercard Transfer Solutions is a key component in establishing Mastercard as a global player in Real time Payments and facilitate secure delivery of funds between senders and receivers, typically in near real time. Businesses, merchants, governments, financial institutions, digital players & fintechs can send money to consumers and small businesses, domestically and cross border with this service. Our Transfer solutions leverage a combination of Mastercard’s card and account-based technologies to enable multiple user flows including person-to-person, business to business, disbursements, remittances and merchant payments.
The individual will contribute to product Commercialization and work hand in hand with the regional, global and market teams to scale our Transfer Solutions capabilities.
Role
The role will be focused on leading the successful roll-out of Transfer solutions business (Cross Border Services and Mastercard Send) in Asia Pacific, to include:
• Oversee new clients onboarding process, which includes but not limited to, Compliance Due Diligence/KYC and Contracting matters, and ensuring that all necessary internal approvals are obtained/accounted for (Treasury, Network, Credit Risk, Regulatory, Compliance, Legal, Finance).
• Engage internal stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance, Regulatory and Product in making informed decisions to implement other unprecedented business models in AP and operationalize the new flows.
• Create dashboards and monthly updates for tracking KPIs
• Provide training to the team on compliance procedures, salesforce approvals and best practices.
• Ensure process efficiencies across every stage and monitor SLAs for turnaround.
• Constantly delving into ways to improve process efficiencies by analysing red tapes and troubleshooting issues to bridge gaps for scalability.
• Prospect and contract banks and NBFIs through coordination with product development, internal support teams such as customer delivery, operations and technology, legal, finance and market/geography teams
All About You
• This position requires a highly collaborative individual who will need to manage relationships across multiple functional areas, regional executives and leadership as well as key customers and strategic partners across AP.
• 7+ year working experience with in-depth knowledge and experience in cross border flows
• Possess a good understanding on KYC requirements and cross-border background to review client information and documentation thoroughly before approaching relevant internal stakeholders.
• Experience in working on contract drafts and engagement with clients
• Able to articulate clear thought process to navigate complex discussions with internal stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence and build credibility; team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible
• Cross-functional team leadership experience managing multiple, complex projects concurrently and delivering timely results under tight timelines
• Prior experience in customer onboarding is preferred
