Join Zip’s Finance function, responsible for providing trusted financial insights and operational excellence that underpin our strategy and growth. As part of our Group Financial Control team, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations that support the needs of the business across our ANZ and US regions.
As a Management Accountant, you’ll contribute to the accuracy and quality of Zip’s management reporting, bringing your analytical skills, curiosity and process mindset to enhance how we capture and communicate financial performance. You’ll partner with stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Tax and Investor Relations to deliver high-quality outcomes that keep Zip moving forward.
What you’ll own
- Contribute to the preparation and analysis of Zip’s monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and full-year internal and external reporting requirements
- Assist with month-end close activities, including journal postings, reconciliations and variance analysis, ensuring appropriate controls and documentation are in place
- Support the preparation of Board and Audit & Risk Committee papers with accurate and insightful financial commentary
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of reporting
- Collaborate on a variety of ad hoc financial projects and queries from across the business
What you’ll bring to the team
- 2+ years’ experience in corporate accounting or finance
- CA or CPA qualification (or working towards completion)
- Experience in management reporting, budget-to-actuals analysis and month-end processes
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with strong attention to detail
- Organisational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple stakeholder needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach and curiosity to learn
- Exposure to NetSuite or Workiva (helpful but not essential)
- Experience in the fintech or payments industry (a plus)
- A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
