Job Summary
The Maintenance Worker I, under general supervision, performs maintenance and repair work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reports to Maintenance Worker III
Performs preventative maintenance, repairs and service work.
Performs maintenance, repair and construction work.
Performs inspections of roof systems, windows, doors, bleachers to ensure proper maintenance and repair.
Assist with repairs and replace window glass.
Assist with installations of various signs on campus.
Assist with ceiling and flooring repairs.
Assist and performs annual paint maintenance plans campus wide. Areas such as street and parking striping, crosswalks, building monuments, building names, light poles, hand rails, street and parking curbs, building entrances, doors.
Assist and performs sheet-rock maintenance to include tape, float, and texture.
Assist with paint refresh projects within interior of buildings.
Assist with install furniture, window blinds and drapes, hanging of portraits and painting.
Assist with stage assembly and breakdown.
Will participate with on-call duties for evenings, weekends and special events.
Acts as service responders during emergency, weather, and catastrophic events.
Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements
Education – High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience – One year of related experience.
Knowledge of – Basic understanding of tools, materials and safety precautions.
Ability to – Ability to multitask and work independently and cooperatively with others. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding. Ability to make close measurements and works with accurate dimensions.
Physical Requirements – Ability to lift moderately heavy objects
