Maintenance Tech

What this job involves:

As a Maintenance Tech at JLL, you'll play a vital role in maintaining critical healthcare infrastructure that directly supports patient care and safety. This hands-on position involves performing diverse servicing and repair operations across hospital buildings, equipment, furnishings, and grounds to ensure optimal facility conditions. We support each other's wellbeing and champion inclusivity across teams, and you'll work collaboratively with healthcare staff, engineering teams, and external vendors to deliver exceptional maintenance services. What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Perform MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) servicing and repair operations including urgent, corrective, routine, and requisitioned repairs as required
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and physical structures while maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Maintain and repair HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas
  • Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to all JLL policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process by integrating organizational culture in all internal and external customer interactions
  • Adhere to time management, supply management, and productivity standards while delivering high-quality maintenance services
  • Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff while supporting department goals that contribute to organizational success

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in general building maintenance functions with healthcare facility experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrating organizational culture in all customer interactions and service delivery
  • Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks including lifting, bending, climbing, and working in various facility environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Commitment to professional growth through participation in mandatory/continuing education and skills competency requirements

Preferred qualifications:

  • Technical certification or training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related building systems
  • Experience working in healthcare environments with understanding of infection control and safety protocols
  • Knowledge of medical equipment maintenance and healthcare facility regulations
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and work order processing
  • Leadership experience with ability to mentor and train junior maintenance staff
