The Opportunity:

KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Support Manager to support our Capability Sustainment team in support of Maritime Sustainment for the Royal Australian Navy. 

As part of KBR, you will contribute to delivering innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions that shape the future of Maritime Sustainment.

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the Maintenance Support Services in accordance with the approved plan.
  • Provide assurance activities of the Annual, One plus One and Five-Year Work Programs
  • Provision of maintenance status reports and Technical Work Instruction development.
  • Conduct Technical Investigations on defects and key systems as required.
  • Analysis of continuous schedule risk as an assurance activity
  • Manage the review and assurance of TPCCs and associated progress reporting metrics.
  • Manage programmatic assurance reports over the Stage Gate 1 to 6 end to end processes.
  • Manage the review and monitoring of maintenance activities.
  • Manage Technical Work Instruction development.
  • Manage Technical Investigations on defects and key systems as required.
  • Manage the analysis of continuous schedule risk as an assurance activity to the planning, scheduling in accordance with the Stage Gate exit points IPT’s, EMP IPT’s and PEB’s.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • As a minimum, recognised Vocational Education and Training qualification (Minimum AQF 5) in product relevant Technical Trade or Engineering disciplines.
  • 10+ years relevant experience in a Defence maintenance role of which 2 have been in maintenance leadership roles.
  • Experience in Project and Contract Management
  • Prior experience as a Waterfront Engineer or Ship Superintendent – Defence (desirable).
  • Engineering degree or maritime competences & trade skills (desirable).
