Maintenance Supervisor, Mechanical
Bunge is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor, Mechanical at our Pacific Terminal. The successful candidate will be accountable for the safe, efficient, cost effective delivery of quality maintenance services for mechanical equipment, components and infrastructure within a large, automated, high throughput bulk grain handling terminal facility.
What you'll do
Develop and implement strategies for maintenance services at multiple terminals and monitor performance to meet or exceed planned results.
Manages the work activities of facility mechanical trades staff in completion of maintenance and project work. This includes development of weekly staffing levels and vacation schedules to ensure successful work execution and optimize maintenance, operations and safety performance. Verifies and authorizes employee attendance and performance, and updates employee record documents.
Manages inventory and parts supply including equipment and components to support the timely completion of planned and breakdown equipment repairs. Creates required Purchase Orders for procured items and ensures accuracy of delivered parts.
Identifies safety training requirements and safe work practices and ensures all internal and external resources adhere to regulatory and corporate safety policies and programs. Explains safe work practices to be employed in various work assignments and ensures those practices are followed by internal and external personnel. Participates in the completion of Safe Work Permits and Job Safety and Environmental Analysis procedures.
Responsible for regulatory agency and code compliance for all mechanical repairs, upgrades, construction activities, inspections and tests for terminal facilities, systems, and equipment.
Budgets for, plans, communicates and executes facility shutdown activities with various contractors and local facility staff.
Responsible for the administration and execution of outside service providers in the maintenance of facility equipment and infrastructure.
Assists in the development of preventative and predictive maintenance procedures and systems including creating and updating program documents and managing resources in the execution of those activities.
Provides recommendations for major R&M repairs, capital projects and grain processing enhancements including assisting in preparation of budgets and project execution.
Manages all aspects of assigned maintenance and capital projects ensuring all scheduling and cost targets are achieved.
Assists with work planning and supervision of electrical trade employees on an as-needed basis.
Ability to provide after hours and weekend “On Call” service as required.
Undertakes other related duties as assigned.

Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems in a heavily automated industrial facility.
Ability to lead internal and external personnel in efficient work execution while following all safe work procedures and practices.
Proficient in the use of computers including CMMS Systems and Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Strong analytical skills and use of a systematic approach to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Proven ability to use and apply information with the goal of improving equipment reliability and efficiency of maintenance systems.
Minimum of five (5) years of related mechanical or supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Inter-Provincial Journeyperson certification.
