Maintenance Storeroom Attendant
We are hiring a Maintenance Storeroom Attendant for our Core Print Solutions team in Eagan, MN. You will play a key role in supporting our maintenance operations and ensuring efficient management of parts and supplies.
Hours of Work – Eagan, Minnesota
1st shift – 6:30 am – 2:30 pm
Occasional overtime and weekend shifts may be required.
About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Maintenance Storeroom Attendant, you will be responsible for:
Owning the storeroom area by maintaining organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
Receiving, storing, and issuing maintenance parts, tools, and supplies according to established procedures.
Receiving incoming deliveries of parts, inspecting shipments for accuracy, and resolving any issues with vendors as directed.
Maintaining accurate inventory records and performing regular cycle counts to ensure stock integrity.
Assisting maintenance personnel by locating and distributing requested parts and supplies in a timely manner.
Taking calls for emergency repairs and planned preventive maintenance (PMs), ensuring prompt response and support for maintenance teams. Assign technician or electrician to calls.
Assist customers at the parts room counter.
Monitoring inventory levels and notifying supervisors when reordering is necessary.
Identifying and recommending ways to improve delivery times and overall efficiency of the storeroom operations.
Operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and in accordance with company guidelines.
Operating a forklift safely; some prior experience driving a forklift is required.
Using appropriate safety procedures when handling hazardous materials or equipment.
Reporting any discrepancies, shortages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Supporting other areas of the maintenance operation as needed. I.E. baler operations,
About You:
In this opportunity as a Maintenance Storeroom Attendant, you will:
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher. Candidates with experience in inventory management or maintenance support are strongly preferred.
Have basic knowledge of storeroom operations and inventory control through training and/or previous experience.
Have a basic understanding of inventory management systems, preferably SAP, and basic computer data entry skills.
Have some experience driving a forklift and operating other material handling equipment.
Be able to traverse stairs and lift up to 50 lbs. as part of routine duties.
Take ownership of your work area and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
Understand the importance of your role in supporting maintenance and production teams.
Provide routine administrative and operational support in a fast-paced environment.
Work within established procedures and follow defined processes.
Perform a group of related tasks that support the results of the maintenance team.
Solve routine problems using existing procedures, with supervision readily available.
Complete assignments and tasks that are routine and require attention to detail.
Make decisions related to your own work with regular supervision and guidance.
Interact primarily within the maintenance and production teams, with occasional contact with vendors or other departments.
