None/Not RequiredCollins Aerospace is seeking a Machine Operator I, to join our Carbon Brake Team in Santa Fe Springs California. We create and ship out new carbon for aviation braking systems. In this role, you will learn our carbon manufacturing processes. You will Machine Carbon/Carbon brake disks used on aircraft. You will learn and thrive in a team environment.
Position works onsite at our Santa Fe Springs California Facility
Shift Schedule: 1st shift Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm
What you will do:
You will Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) rules, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
You will Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), and technical drawings meticulously to guarantee consistent quality and safety.
You will Identify and report any mechanical or safety concerns promptly to prevent disruptions and maintain operational integrity.
You will strictly follow written procedures to maintain safety and to ensure quality
You will utilize standard measuring instruments and scales to ensure all parts meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
You will operate various CNC lathes and mills
You will operate multiple machines at one time
You will change inserts/tooling out from machine
You will be using micrometers, calipers, hand measurement techniques
You will read technical drawings and set up machines in alignment with blueprints
You will apply basic to intermediate computer skills for various tasks, including data entry and process monitoring.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications you must have:
Typically a HS Diploma with 2 years of relevant experience is required
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
Qualifications we prefer:
Experienced in basic computer skills
Some experience in manufacturing industry
Experience with forklifts and/or pallet jacks
Experience setting-up and operating equipment for specific processes

The starting rate for this role is $20.00 however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
