The Opportunity: 

Join our innovative team as a Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) Network and Systems Administrator and play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the network and system infrastructure for advanced defense training solutions and simulators. You will provide technical support, ensure system stability, and enhance the performance of our LVC environments. Your expertise will be central to maintaining the integrity and functionality of these complex systems, which are key to providing realistic training scenarios for military units.

You will manage network configurations, perform regular system updates, and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted training operations. Your role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, engineers, and training staff, to support and enhance the overall training experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Administer and maintain the network and systems infrastructure supporting LVC training environments.
  • Perform regular system updates, backups, and security patches to ensure network integrity and system reliability for LVC simulators and training systems
  • Configure and manage network devices, servers, and software to optimize performance and enhance training capabilities.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to support the integration of new systems and technologies into the LVC environment.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing and resolving network and system-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD standards and security protocols in all system operations.
  • Document network configurations, system settings, and maintenance activities for reference and auditing purposes.
  • Cross training on system operations and military training protocols

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a network or systems administrator, including supporting complex training environments or defense systems
  • Experience with DoD network infrastructure, systems engineering, and project execution
  • Experience in configuring, operating, and maintaining LVC training systems and networks
  • Experience with server management, virtualization technologies, and system security practices
  • Knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall management
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently under pressure
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology or Computer Science field
  • Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ Certification within six months of hire

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Agile software and hardware development methodologies
  • Experience managing LVC systems at multiple levels of command
  • Possession of strong communication skills for interacting with technical teams, end-users, and stakeholders
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
