Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Field Operations Logistics Services Manager to lead our in-country remote site teams from our future Komaki site in Japan. This position will start in St. Louis, Missouri.  The primary supported platform is our F-15 Japan Super Interceptor customer. Locations and platforms supported may be expanded to other Logistics Services locations throughout Japan. These locations (and supported platforms) could change at any time.

Relocation/assignment benefits to this international location will be provided. Ability to meet Int'l assignment health requirements required. If accompanied, family must also meet Int'l assignment health requirements.

This leader will develop and complete current business requirements related to warehouse operations which includes warehouse establishment activities, Statement of Work deliveries, acquiring resources, and providing technical management of multiple LSR teams.  The candidate will establish warehouse processes and procedures. Develops and manages relationships and partnerships with customers, partners, peers, and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Navigate the complexities of new platform establishment, site stand up integration, and customer complexities

  • Support employees across various Time Zones and customer sites

  • Navigate the complexities of relocating and onboarding employees into assignments and new locations

  • Travel to assigned locations for customer interaction, site improvements, and performance management

  • Provides warehouse supervision to ensure delivery of contractual requirements

  • Lead inventory management for Critically Controlled Assets (CCA) items stored within customer-provided CCA warehouses

  • Establishes warehousing strategic planning and long-term goals to achieve logistics sustainment success

  • Collaborates with program leadership and the program supply chain team to accomplish common programmatic goals and objectives

  • Collaborates with Field Operations maintenance leadership and team to accomplish common contractual goals and objectives

  • Collaborates with customer maintenance leadership and team to accomplish contractual goals and objectives

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees across multiple sites and locations

  • Develops, executes, and acquires resources for projects, develops process policies and procedures that enforce a safe work environment

  • Leverages Boeing logistics systems for optimal contractual execution

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Ability to conform to the Logistics Services, Service Champion Blueprint approach covering strategic elements of running a function such as: Employee and product safety, quality management, employee standards and performance, and continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in logistics, supply support, supply chain and/or military supply experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing supply chain and/or logistics and/or transportation logistics for a large company or as a third-party logistics manager

  • 5+ years of experience with warehouse operations

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree or higher

  • Field Operations experience

  • International customer Field Support experience

  • Aviation logistics background, preferably F series or Air Force Logistics

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country

  • Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable

  • Employment is contingent on the candidate’s ability to satisfy all labor and immigration formalities of the country

Summary pay range: $109,650 - $148,350

 

This position is expected to be 100% on-site in Komaki, Japan.
