Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Logistics Manager located in Flex PTP.
Reporting to the Sr Logistics Manager the Logistics Manager role is responsible for ensures the implementation of strategies, including supply chain activities to ensure the logistics function achieves its operational and organizational targets in order to create and sustain value for the business and its customers.
What a typical day looks like:
Shipping & FG warehouse
- Directs the daily activities of the distribution function, activities include shipping and inventory control, etc.
- Generates FG warehouse productivity reports, in regard to selection rates, receiving rates and accounts for all labor hours. Adheres to budget requirements and works toward obtaining goals.
- Ensures that there is continuous improvement to standard logistics process, such as replenishment, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions and all are effectively implemented as appropriate.
- Builds and maintains relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives and resolve customer / operational issues.
- Acts as escalation to senior management as appropriate.
- Ensure products are shipped per customer requirements.
- Ensures provision of all planning related required reporting and present reports or information to senior management as required.
- Contributes with department managers and customers on planning related matters, to devise new strategies in relation to inventory management and distribution.
- Participates, coordinates and provides information and recommendations on various programs or projects, e.g. work simplifications, cost reductions, job training, storage area layout, plant material move routes and procedures, wage administration, communication, etc.
- Ensures the maintenance of FG warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and all necessary repairs.
- Recommends equipment requirements and replacements in order to upgrade and maintain FG warehouse productivity and efficiency.
- Ensures FG warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.
- Implements appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
- In charge for FG warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations.
- Implements appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
Trade Compliance
- In depth knowledge of import/export laws, LMW & FIZ regulations, policies and procedures.
- In dept knowledge of FTA for the CA & COO application.
- Administer strategic plans and goals for Global Trade.
- Develop and deliver company-wide training programs.
- Drive strategies and initiatives at the regional and site level to deliver Global Trade cost savings initiatives.
- Enhance relationships with government trade authorities as needed.
- Develop and deploy audit/assessment programs.
- Interface directly with stakeholders to identify, prioritize and execute trade policy.
- Define requirements for IT solutions that enhance trade activities.
- Deliver trade metrics and analytics to enhance trade policy and accountability.
- Participate in compliance investigations and reviews.
- Participate in trade risk management strategy.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years years of distribution, warehousing or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrates a general knowledge of functional concepts and a rudimentary understanding of policies and procedures.
- Good comprehension of investigation and technical processes.
