Iron Mountain's Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) business is dedicated to helping organisations securely and sustainably manage their IT assets from deployment to disposition. This involves the secure collection, transportation, and subsequent certified data erasure, decommissioning, and environmentally responsible recycling of IT equipment, such as servers, hard drives, laptops, and networking gear. Our service ensures compliance, maximises asset recovery value, and protects sensitive data throughout the entire IT asset retirement process
Job summary
As a Logistics Driver for Iron Mountain's Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) team, you will be a critical part of our national operation, travelling across the country to client sites to collect and securely transport end-of-life IT assets. You will be the face of our secure disposition process, playing a crucial role in ensuring the secure chain of custody for these valuable and sensitive assets as they are transported for decommissioning and recycling.
Your role in our mission:
Safely and efficiently transport IT assets (e.g., servers, drives, networking equipment) to and from client sites and our secure processing facilities nationwide.
Represent Iron Mountain professionally and courteously during client interactions, reinforcing our commitment to data security and environmental stewardship.
Maintain the secure chain of custody for all collected assets, ensuring accurate inventory and transportation logs are completed.
Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, manifests, and electronic logs related to collections and deliveries.
Adhere strictly to all company security protocols, safety standards, and driving regulations.
Valued skills and experience:
Valid UK driving license – Category B licence
Proven experience in a professional driving role, preferably in logistics, delivery, or long-haul transport.
Strong awareness of security protocols and the importance of maintaining a secure chain of custody for sensitive items.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete detailed documentation and manifests.
Physical ability to assist with the loading and secure handling of IT equipment.
