Alveo is hiring for a Logistics and Inventory Control Specialist who will be responsible for executing and continuously improving Alveo’s material movement, warehouse organization, and logistics operations. This role will own the cycle counting and inventory reconciliation program, coordinate domestic and international shipments, and ensure compliance with trade regulations. The position also includes customer-facing responsibilities, supporting outbound shipments, product returns, and reverse logistics coordination. The ideal candidate combines hands-on warehouse experience with strong NetSuite and logistics expertise, a customer-service mindset, and a drive for continuous improvement through 5S and Kaizen practices. 

Responsibilities: 
Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and supplies; verify accuracy against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies. 

Prepare, pack, and ship customer orders and materials, coordinating with parcel, freight, and international carriers. 

Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records in NetSuite, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments. 

Own and manage the cycle counting and inventory reconciliation program, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of variances. 

Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 

Organize and maintain warehouse and material storage areas using 5S principles to promote efficiency, order, and safety. 

Lead or participate in Kaizen and other continuous-improvement activities to streamline operations, documentation, and workflow. 

Work directly with customers and the Customer Service team to coordinate shipments, provide status updates, and resolve logistics-related inquiries. 

Manage reverse logistics, including coordinating product returns, replacements, or refurbishments in alignment with Quality requirements. 

Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers for domestic and international shipments. 

Ensure compliance with trade regulations, including correct use of HTS codes, tariffs/duties, and Incoterms. 

Partner with the Quality organization to maintain traceability, lot control, and compliance with ISO/GMP-style standards. 

Manage and communicate with 3PL providers to ensure accurate transactions, timely deliveries, and issue resolution. 

Generate reports on inventory, shipping, and cycle count accuracy; provide data for Operations and Quality metrics. 

Perform warehouse duties such as lifting up to 40 lbs, operating pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified), and maintaining a safe work environment. 

Qualifications: 
Minimum 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or inventory control (manufacturing or life sciences preferred). 

Strong working knowledge of NetSuite ERP, particularly inventory and fulfillment modules.  Familiarity with document control and quality management systems (e.g. Arena, Propel, Agile) a plus. 

Proven experience managing cycle counting and inventory reconciliation programs. 

Experience with reverse logistics, product returns, and customer communication. 

Familiarity with trade compliance (import/export, HTS classification, tariffs/duties, Incoterms). 

Experience coordinating with freight forwarders and 3PL providers across multiple shipping modes. 

Experience in regulated environments (ISO, GMP, or similar) preferred. 

Working knowledge of 5S and Kaizen continuous-improvement methodologies. 

Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and organization. 

Excellent communication skills and a customer service orientation when interacting with internal and external stakeholders. 

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving start-up environment. 

Physical ability to perform warehouse tasks (lift up to 40 lbs, operate equipment). 

The salary range for this position is $80,364 - $101,250 per year
