Logistics and Distribution Coordinator

As a Logistics and Distribution Coordinator you will creates reporting and analysis on performance of logistics partners and ensure day to day operations are running flawless and compliant. You will be responsible for the management of incoming and outgoing transport flows from Lonza third party logistics (3PL) locations and inventory synchronization between 3PL and Lonza systems.

What you will do:

  • Manage incoming and outgoing transport flows from and to 3PL Locations

  • Support inventory synchronization between Lonza and 3PL systems and daily follow up of inventory discrepancies to ensure availability of products for order allocation and customer delivery

  • Oversee and participate in day to day execution of outbound orders, like creation and/or validation of paperwork and transport bookings

  • Monitor the performance of logistics and distribution partners through running reports and creating management summary to help the initiation of performance reviews with partners

  • Create intracompany Purchase Orders (PO) and Transport Management documents focused on the incoming flows, monitoring of open PO, transport and customs clearance until product delivery is completed

  • Participation in continuous improvement projects in cooperation with 3PL, transport and Lonza departments

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Supply Chain or Business Management

  • Experience with export and import activities with the US, UK and Switzerland

  • CPIM certification, SAP and knowledge of 3PL operations and transport companies are a plus

  • Pervious experience with continuous improvement projects is also a plus

  • Business proficiency in English and advanced level French language skills
