Job Description:
ACCOUNTABILITY:
- System enhancements and configurations will be well documented, and the analyst will perform testing and provide evidence of scenario pass/failure. Analyst will be given requests for data, reports, analysis, and system configurations with the expectation of understanding the business need, identifying the source of the data, validating the output, and presenting the information to the users in a manner that is relevant to them.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain fuel surcharges, rates, and transit times for carriers in multiple systems (WMi, LogPro/Varsity, and OTM)
- Validation of system configurations to ensure correct information is in the systems
- Build system expertise and help troubleshoot new issues as they arise
- Create reports, analysis, or charts that accurately represent the data to the requestor in a usable format using tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or others. Automate manual processes wherever feasible.
- Develop data analysis methods for requests, creating estimated timelines for completion and providing ongoing status updates to upper management and internal customers.
- Work with internal/external customers to define and document detailed user requirements, assist with quality assurance of finished product prior to user acceptance testing, assist with user acceptance testing/training, and obtain user signoff for system enhancements.
- Assist on process improvement efforts including outlining existing procedures, identification and elimination of inefficiencies, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and providing training and follow up to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing adherence. Creates process maps, flow charts, or other organizational tools.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in AS400 applications (WMi and LogPro)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to build relationships and leverage resources.
- Experience with system governance, system configuration, or system maintenance. 2-year degree preferred.
- Data analysis experience using Excel and SQL required.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, charts, advanced formulas.
- Requires strong attention to detail and comprehensive documentation of configuration changes and testing.
- Deadline oriented and ability to work under stressful situations. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Must be able to learn processes quickly, break process down into logical divisions, and recognize opportunity for improvement. Excellent problem solving abilities.
- Must be able to analyze data and make independent decisions to resolve technical and process issues.
- Knowledge of business/quality metrics, score cards, and processes.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
