SUMMARY Supervises and provides direction to manufacturing supervisors and direct labor employees on all shifts for which they are responsible. Organizes the workcell/area for maximum efficiency; tracks and reports on production, ship schedules, Work-in-Process, labor and product movement ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Develops and motivates Manufacturing Supervisors and direct labor employees • Provides meaningful and timely feedback on employees’ performance; completes and conducts annual performance appraisals • Reviews training requirements regularly and ensures employees are trained per requirements • Ensures adequate staffing to support current and future business strategies • Interviews and hires new employees • Collaborates with cross functional support teams to establish strategic direction for the work area and communicates goals, objectives, and priorities to the team • Develops and communicates procedures, processes, and tools to accomplish strategic goals and assures compliance with quality and environmental standards and regulations • Reviews and analyzes key metrics to ensure production processes are in control • Shares data and analysis in daily and weekly JOS meetings including CAC, MIC, TIC, and QIC • Conducts Pitch Walks and Safety Talks • Coordinates with cross functional to complete corrective and/or preventive actions when necessary • Coordinates with cross functional teams to determine resource requirements • Assists in the timely preparation of accurate financial forecasts for the work area • Leads the team in identifying opportunities to continuously improve profitability and increase customer satisfaction • Monitors and controls variable manufacturing costs including shop supplies and overtime • Creates project plans and timelines, implements changes and verify effectiveness • Provides support to Manufacturing Supervisors and direct labor employees to resolve conflicts and issues within the team • Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules Job Title: Manufacturing Line Manager (continued) AUH-069950 Rev A4 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent and minimum two years’ experience Advanced reading, writing and math skills Advanced PC skills Strong analytical, interpretive and problem resolution skills Excellent communication skills Ability to deal with tight, rapidly changing deadlines PHYSICAL DEMANDS May be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift to 40 lbs. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and extended use of computer monitor Wearing of safety glasses and steel toed shoes on manufacturing floor WORK ENVIRONMENT Primary workstation is located on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
