The Library Public Services Assistant 3 supervises the daytime, weekday activities of the Library Book Depository's processing and storage areas, Interlibrary Services requests for Depository materials, and serves as assistant and back-up to the Depository Manager. Oversees and directs Depository operations and ensures that policies and procedures are carried out accurately and efficiently. Oversees and directs operations to fill Interlibrary Services copies requests for Depository materials ensuring that policies and procedures are carried out accurately and efficiently. Hires, schedules, trains, and supervises student employees. Opens building and reports building and or equipment problems to Depository Manager or appropriate agency. Performs tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the Depository. Performs related duties and works on special assignments and projects as directed.

Education and Experience

Required: High school diploma or equivalent certificate. At least two years of training and/or experience in library practices and procedures. Ability to lift and move objects up to 50lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation. Valid driver's license required.

Posting Range

The posting range for this position is $19.28-$20.50 per hour.
