About the role

LexisNexis Canada (Law Firms, Mid/Large Market) Account Executive is responsible for driving growth within mid- to large-sized law firms (11-500 lawyers) across Canada. This role focuses on helping legal professionals embrace innovative solutions — including the latest in generative AI — to enhance research efficiency, client service, and firm profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business across law firms of 11-500 lawyers, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue, pipeline, and activity targets.

  • Build relationships with decision-makers, champions, and other stakeholders including partners, library management, and C-level executives.

  • Lead consultative, insight driven sales engagements that identify customer objectives and challenges, and deliver tailored LexisNexis solutions to meet those needs.

  • Confidently communicate the benefits of generative AI and other advanced technologies for lawyers and legal professionals.

  • Independently generate customized and creative offerings that suit complex client needs.

  • Execute structured prospecting plans using both phone and email outreach to meet and exceed weekly activity and pipeline targets.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce (or other CRM systems), ensuring visibility across all stages of the sales cycle.

  • Articulate return on investment (ROI) through impactful presentations and insight-driven discussions.

  • Capture and relay customer feedback to help shape product strategy and market positioning.

  • Travel as required (up to 25%) to meet clients and attend industry events.

Qualifications:

  • Law Degree or Legal Experience

  • Demonstrated success selling into complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

  • Strong working knowledge and demonstrated use of generative AI.

  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a high-performing, knowledge-sharing team.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

  • Confident and persistent prospector with a growth mindset and adaptability in a fast-evolving market.

  • Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms. Disciplined data hygiene.

  • Deep curiosity about customer needs and the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Ability to translate technical innovation into business value and meaningful client outcomes.
