The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

This role is positioned to drive the success of Solventum.  As Legal Counsel at Solventum, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Working independently and partnering closely with business clients and other functional clients for providing legal advice and drafting or reviewing legal documents
• Counselling marketing campaign programs, interactions with healthcare professionals and patients, healthcare regulations, compliance and/or other specialized areas as assigned
• Identifying and quantifying legal risks, including exploring options and alternatives that provide a balance between risks and business objectives
• Managing disputes by engaging external lawyers and handling administrative claims and investigations
• Delivering legal training to employees or channel partners and providing legal updates to management teams
• Building the institution for Solventum and implementing organizational policies
• Leading or executing local or international legal affairs projects and cross-functional projects of impact and/or complexity

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, the following qualifications are required:

• Bachelor’s degree in law from an accredited institution
• Good understanding of general commercial law, Competition Law, Advertising Law, and related areas of practice
• Bar admission / Qualified to practice law in China
• Proficiency in Chinese and English

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master’s degree in law from an accredited institution
• More than five years of relevant working experience or post-qualification experience
• Rich experience in providing counselling within the medical device or pharmaceutical sectors

Work Location: Shanghai, China

Travel: May include up to 10%
